What
is DCL?
The DCL is a
comprehensive, integrated tool-set designed to provide end-users
the ability to perform rigorous and complete corrosion and material
characterizations for virtually any corroding system. The DCL consists
of a number of InterCorr programs with complementary functionality,
which address different aspects of corrosion and material characterization,
such as, thermodynamics and phase behavior, electro-chemical characterization
and fluid dynamics, corrosion prediction and cracking assessment,
for a broad range of environments, materials and applications. Having
access to DCL is like having your own corrosion / materials laboratory,
right on your Desktop. Model and understand any corroding system,
before expending resources on testing or inspection.
Characteristics
Ability to simulate
virtually any corroding system, with over 8500 organic and inorganic
species.
Incorporates
comprehensive and accurate corrosion modeling to account for the
effects of a number of critical parameters for both refinery and
upstream applications.
Obtain real-solution stability (Potential Vs pH) diagrams
and compare with actual data from corrosion tests
Find
critical areas of corrosion concern and select applicable materials
from a large database of actual test data |
Understand
effects of multiple parameters from both a thermodynamic and kinetic
perspective |
Perform
risk and integrity analysis to verify critical areas of corrosion
and generate inspection / risk damage matrices. |
Model
all relevant thermodynamic and transport properties of corroding systems
(viscosity, self-diffusivity, activity etc) |
Realize
substantial cost and time savings through the ability to simulate
corrosion without recourse to expensive testing |
| Benefits |
Microsoft®
Windows based software-framework that can work together most common
personal computers.
DCL
components come with interfaces that support use by non-experts;
Meaning, you can benefit from the expertise built into DCL even
if you are not a technical specialist in that specific area.
Extensive
context sensitive on-line help assists the user in understanding
the significance of different thermodynamic, electro-chemical, corrosion
and metallurgical parameters.
The
DCL comes with extensive databases and databanks, from laboratory
testing and comprehensive data collection efforts.
Using
DCL for your most challenging modeling projects is easy, because
you have access to the extensive expertise from InterCorr experts.
Can
be easily installed on any stand-alone or network system compatible
with Windows 95/98/Windows NT /Windows 2000, XP operating system.
